About me
Ponds,
my passion
Even as a child, nature fascinated me – and my grandma played a big part in that. She showed me so much and nurtured my love for nature.
With my first earned money from a summer job, I bought a GRP pond and – to my grandma's great delight – installed it myself in her garden. Everything really meant everything: I dug out the 5 x 3 meter, 80 cm deep pit by hand, planned the planting, and lovingly decorated the pond.
Of course, not everything went perfectly right away, but the plants grew and thrived until my pond eventually became a beautiful water lily sea.
Newly married, a pond naturally had to be part of our new home. Convincing my husband wasn't difficult – enthusiasm can be contagious, after all!
But at some point, I noticed that there were many "design" gaps in my garden. In some places, plants simply didn't fit, and I found the usual planters on the terrace boring.
That's how I got into mini ponds.
Now I have them in all conceivable shapes and variations – either set directly into the ground like a classic pond or in a wide variety of containers.
My absolute favorites are old zinc tubs. They not only have a special charm but also offer the possibility of stocking them with heat-loving fish like guppies.
